I was enjoying the game but this plus the other messages saying the difficulty increases suddenly mean that I am not going to continue, I don't want to put tremendous energy into randomly defeating the boss to only keep coming up on overly steep challenges that can't be met. I had 3 ranged defensive plants, but it wasn't enough to keep the skulls from destroying the hut. Obviously I took the wrong upgrades, ranged doesn't seem to work, not enough damage.
